Open Farm Day is an event in partnership with Manitoba Agriculture and the Manitoba Association of Agricultural Societies. The Museum invites visitors to come and check out their rural roots! Open Farm Day activities begin at 10am, until 4pm. Maps available. Shuttles will transport visitors around the grounds.
– Garden Party at the Carrothers garden, preserves from Museum-grown produce available for sale.
– Oakview Gift Shop OPEN. Check out the new giftware, and see all the items in stock. Do you remember salt water taffy and black licorice cigars? Those and so much more in Oakview !

The Pioneer Centre will be a “studio” for our volunteers who demonstrate “back-to-basic skills”, including quilting, wood carving, spinning, soap making, painting with milk paint, crochet, bobbin lace making, knitting, rug making, and home canning and preserving food.
There is no charge to visit the Museum on Open Farm Day ! This is a fun family event !
